200k SURPRISE Stretch Goal! Additional VTT Support!

We've just passed over two-hundred...thousand...dollars raised—and still with over a week to go! Sincerely, I could not be more grateful and encouraged. Thank you all so much for believing in this project, and for showing such overwhelming support and excitement for bringing more runic content to your games. <3

New VTT Modules Unlocked!

I know for some folks this won't have a huge impact, which is why I've sandwiched this surprise unlock between two other exciting Stretch Goals: new Character Backgrounds and the upcoming Runemaster NPCs (more on the latter from the update earlier today). For those who have been waiting and hoping for more VTT support, this will likely feel like a godsend.

We will now be releasing VTT modules for both Roll20 and Shard Tabletop. As with the Foundry module, these will include all of the content in the book, pre-programmed into your favorite VTT so everything is easy to simply drop into your games and immediately functional, ready-to-use at the click of a button.

If you'd like to add either of these add-ons to your pledge, you can simply go to the Rewards page and "Manage your pledge" to select the one you want and have it included with your other rewards.

Dracolisk Mini Winner!

Yesterday, we ran a contest to decipher some Draconic runes (details in the update here). I wanted to give a big thank you to everyone who joined in on the fun. It was so cool to see folks sharing runes all over social media.

And our winner is... drum roll...

Gerben Wierda!

Congrats, Gerben! The correctly deciphered phrase was indeed "I HOARD RUNES" 😄

Stretch Goals

Last night we blazed past the $195k Stretch Goal, unlocking two new character Backgrounds: Rune Hunter and Polyglot.

And for the next Stretch Goal, another that will really help round out implementing runes in your games that I am so excited to include. At $210,000, we'll add a series of "Runemaster" NPCs across the gamut of languages in the book! These are intended as potential questgivers and sources of vast runic knowledge that DMs can drop right into their games (and perhaps players can even work them into their backstories!).

Project Spotlight

This is a 5e campaign that grabbed my attention several days ago, and I wanted to make sure I shared it with you all because it's ending in just a couple days! Another creative $1 adventure that's really easy to jump on and support.

Week 3 Recap + Giveaway Contest!!

I'm continuously blown away by the support and excitement you all have shown. We've just completed the third week of the campaign, and we're on the cusp of raising $190,000. Just endlessly grateful for all of you, and excited to bring cool stuff to the community.

Week 3 Stretch Goal Recap

In the past week, we've unlocked the following Stretch Goals:

• 150k - New Language & Player Race: Voter's Choice!

Alternative Rune Implementations Unlocked! (+195k Stretch Goal)

Happy Monday, folks!

This morning we pushed past $180,000 raised! Thanks to the continuously growing support from all of you, the book will now include several optional ways to implement runes in your game—from tattoos, to general arcane enchantments, and more. (Perhaps you could even incorporate several different ways to use them in the same game!)

New Stretch Goal!

At 195k, we'll get to add two thematic character Backgrounds to the book: Rune Hunter and Polyglot (that's someone who speaks a ton of languages). This will really help round out player characters built around these runic themes, since you'll now have everything covered from race to subclass to background. Super excited for these!

And for some added fun, I've gone ahead and drawn up "Rune Hunter" in Celestial, Draconic, and Orcish below. 😄

Project Spotlight

My friends over at Ghostfire Gaming are currently finishing up their latest big 5e project called Aetherial Expanse, which is a stellar campaign setting (sorry, can't help myself with the puns!) based in the Astral Sea that includes ship combat rules, plus new monsters, subclasses, spells, items, and their "Heritage Trait System" that lets you build your own character species. Really fantastic stuff.

Here's a blurb from them about the project:
